New Delhi: Coal India today said it produced 32.5 million tonnes (MT) of coal in June, missing the month's target of 35 MT.
The company's offtake in June was 37 MT against the target of 39.8 MT, CIL said a filing to BSE.
The company's output in April and June was 102.8 MT, against production target of 106.8 MT, the statement added.
While the Coal India's offtake in the past two months was 115 MT, against the target which was 120.7 MT, it added.
The coal ministry has set a production target of 482 MT and off-take of 492 MT for Coal India for 2013-14.
A Coal India release said the target was set in a MoU signed with the company's chairman and managing director S Narsing Rao and coal secretary SK Srivastava.
The state-run firm achieved an output of only 452.5 MT in the fiscal, missing the target of 464 MT.
